Suspect one of them of lying? Use the fucking spectate command that comes with DarkRP. Check the lockpick and keypad cracker logs to see how many times they've picked that same door. Someone complains they're being raided repeatedly by the same guy? Check the kill feed and see how often the raider's been killed by the person. What purpose did this rule ever serve? Stopping people from raiding the same guy too often? Any logs addon solves that in seconds. When someone pisses them off, they shoot the person and make them lose the valuable items they spend however long acquiring.Īnother example is adverting. When the only consequence of shooting someone is getting arrested and losing the gun you spent 10+ minutes obtaining, you don't really have a lot of fun shooting random people in the streets. RDM is boring without the admins to chase you down. Most people forget one simple fact though. This sounds like utter chaos to anyone who's never tried this idea, I'm sure. Guns are more expensive and harder to obtain alongside this. Police are left in charge of enforcing it for the rest of the server. (You can read about it here if you're interested.)įor example, in LawlessRP, RDM is a rule that only applies to police. The basic idea is to replace the rules with actual roleplay, keeping the rules light and only where necessary. I've spent those years building up my server, and working on my own rulesets called LawlessRP and Lawless Lite. There's very little I find admirable about them, and they seem to actively discourage roleplay and make things less fun for the players and more complicated for new players to get into than anything else. Personally, I've hated the Serious and Semi-Serious rules for the past two years. I'm posting this on r/DarkRP and r/Gmod because I know they're very different communities with very different opinions on the game. I want to see people's opinions on the rules, why people like or dislike them, your ideas on how to improve DarkRP, etc. I'm here to argue, but more in the friendly discussion sense than the "fuck you, I'm right" sense.

Alright, so I'm not making this posts to pick fights or anything.
